On May 26, 2023, a delegation from Kyungil University in South Korea, along with the head of the North American International Education Group, visited Leshan Vocational and Technical College. The exchange symposium was held in the conference room 2001 of the Academic Exchange Center. Vice President Zhou Qin of Leshan Vocational and Technical College, as well as representatives from the Nursing College, the Academic Affairs Office, and the International College, participated in the symposium.

Zhou Qin extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Kyungil University and introduced the basic situation, history, distinctive majors, and international cooperation and exchange of the school. She expressed the hope that the two universities would strengthen cooperation in curriculum development and joint education programs. Sun Dong-ho, Dean of the International Exchange College at Kyungil University, introduced the university's operations and highly praised the learning and living environment at Leshan Vocational and Technical College. He also expressed the desire to enhance cooperation and jointly promote development.

At the meeting, Zhou Qin and Sun Dong-ho signed a memorandum of understanding on friendly cooperation between the two universities on behalf of their respective institutions. The participants from both sides also had detailed discussions on matters related to teacher and student exchanges and the joint hosting of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs.
