Wu Yuxi, a Chinese as a Foreign Language teacher in the Basic and Public Courses Department of the Institute, recently guided her overseas students to win the first prize in the "22nd World Chinese Students' Composition Contest." The students also won two second prizes. Wu Yuxi was awarded a certificate of honor as an "Outstanding Instructor."
The 22nd World Chinese Students' Composition Contest was jointly organized by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, the Overseas Edition of the People's Daily, and the Happy Composition magazine. Since its launch in September 2021, the contest lasted for over six months and attracted more than 3 million Chinese students from 45 countries and regions.
Since July 2021, three teachers from the Chinese as a Foreign Language Teaching and Research Office of the Basic and Public Courses Department of the Institute, namely Wu Yuxi, Tang Jing, and Liu Yu, have participated in the "Tracing the Roots of China · Tianfu Chinese Education Cloud Classroom" online Chinese language teaching. They have undertaken the Chinese language courses for 163 students. The students they guided are about to successfully complete their annual learning tasks, with the vast majority reaching the HSK Level 6 proficiency.
