International Students from Our College Achieve Excellent Results in the "Belt and Road" Countries' International Students' Cross - Border E - Commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills Competition

On May 10, the 2019 "Belt and Road" Countries' International Students' Cross - Border E - Commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills Competition was held at Tianjin Business Vocational College. A total of 48 participants from 24 institutions across 10 provinces (municipalities directly under the central government), including Shandong, Zhejiang, Chongqing, and Hainan, took part in the competition. Among them, there were 3 undergraduate universities and 21 vocational colleges, with contestants from 20 different countries. Two international students from Laos, majoring in E - commerce in the School of Finance and Management at Leshan Vocational and Technical College, participated in the competition.

The competition was conducted online, consisting of 8 rounds with a total duration of 360 minutes. It focused on the teams' awareness of cross - border e - commerce needs, cost - consciousness, risk - consciousness, as well as their abilities in operational decision - making and data analysis to solve problems. During the competition, the international student contestants from Leshan Vocational and Technical College maintained a stable performance and excelled. After fierce competition, XAYKAOXONG XIVANXAY (Xiong Lihong) won the second prize individually, PHONGSAVATH LATTANA (Zhang Xiaoli) won the third prize individually, and the college's team won the third prize in the team category.

The outstanding performance of the college's international student team in this competition is inseparable from the college's educational philosophy for international students in recent years. The college emphasizes the combination of knowledge education and cultural enlightenment, stresses the importance of both professional ability and employability skills, and focuses on comprehensive ability cultivation based on language skills.

The "Belt and Road" Countries' International Students' Cross - Border E - Commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills Competition is the only national - level innovation and entrepreneurship skills competition for international students in China, hosted by the China International Trade Association.
