From December 7th to 9th, the "2023 World Chinese Conference," hosted by the Ministry of Education, was held in Beijing. Ding Xuxiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the conference and delivered the keynote speech. Chen Jie, Vice Minister of Education, attended the main forum of the conference and delivered a speech. The conference was presided over by Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education. Themed "Chinese Language Serving the World, Openness Leading the Future," the conference was attended by approximately 2,000 participants, including relevant Chinese and foreign experts, government officials, representatives of international organizations, and heads of international language and cultural institutions.

Liu Zhong, President of Leshan Vocational and Technical College, led a delegation of six people to attend the parallel forum of the World Chinese Conference, the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" Integration and Development Forum. The textbook "Chinese + Nursing (Common First Aid Techniques)," edited by a teacher from the Clinical Medicine College of Leshan Vocational and Technical College, was released and exhibited as one of the first batch of 57 "Chinese + Vocational Skills" textbooks. Liu Zhong was invited to unveil the new book at the forum.

Representatives from the education authorities, embassies, Chinese-funded enterprises, Chinese and foreign universities, and vocational and technical colleges of China, Laos, Indonesia, Thailand, Tajikistan, and other countries gathered to focus on the deep integration and coordinated development of "Chinese + Vocational Skills." They shared experiences and outcomes of international exchanges and cooperation. With the continuous improvement of China's level of educational opening-up, vocational education "going global" is showing a vigorous development trend, and "Chinese + Vocational Skills" is playing an increasingly important role.

Participating in this conference has broadened the international vision of our school and expanded the pathways for diversified international education. It will further promote the international cooperation in vocational education of our school, help enterprises cultivate local talents, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative by building the Leshan Vocational and Technical College brand.
