On February 25th, 2014, led by Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee Chen Zhihai, all members of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our college paid a visit to the Consulate General of Thailand in Chengdu and were received by Consul General Guo Meite and Deputy Consul General Banot.
Consul General Guo Meite first recalled his visit to our college in June of the previous year, expressing his approval of the college's scale and the management of Thai exchange students. He was particularly impressed by the photovoltaic program at our college and stated that he would definitely visit again if the opportunity arose.
Deputy Secretary Chen Zhihai reviewed and summarized the cooperation between our college and several Thai schools with the help of the Thai Consulate over the past few years. He reported to the Consul General on the various achievements made in the cooperation and proposed that both sides continue to conduct exchanges and cooperation, further broaden the areas of cooperation, and deepen cooperative projects.
The Thai side highly agreed with the proposals from our college. During the meeting, both parties decided to establish a long-term friendly cooperative relationship. They agreed to continue promoting existing cooperative projects and actively work towards educational exchanges and cooperation in fields such as nursing, tourism, cooking, e-commerce, and the photovoltaic industry. They also planned to build more cooperative platforms and explore new cooperative projects. Through these exchanges and cooperation, both sides aim to enhance the connections and cooperation between the governments, government-enterprise, and school-enterprise of the two countries and to strengthen the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
