From April 14th to 15th, the table tennis competition of the mass events at the 3rd Leshan Seniors' Games was held with great enthusiasm. The team composed of retired staff and faculty members from Leshan Vocational and Technical College, with their neat attire and high spirits, became the focus among the 39 participating teams. On the court: the men's doubles pair Liu Wei and Xie Yuechu played steadily and won eighth place; the women's doubles partners Wei Ling and Tu Zhengying, with their tacit cooperation, also made it into the top eight. Comrade Liu Wei was further honored with the title of "Athlete of Sportsmanship" for his excellent demeanor on the field.

On April 9th, prior to the competition, the college held a send-off ceremony in the gymnasium with the theme "Silver-Aged Paddles Break Through the Skies, Spring Breeze Passes Through the Yumen Pass". Zhang Jia, the college's deputy party secretary, chairman of the trade union, and head of the delegation, encouraged the retired staff who were about to compete.
