​Our College Hosts the "Spread Your Wings with the Chinese Bridge" Online Camp Launch Ceremony for the Chinese + Culinary Arts Experience Journey

On the morning of January 10, 2022, the online group of the "Spread Your Wings with the Chinese Bridge" Chinese + Culinary Arts Experience Journey, hosted by Leshan Vocational and Technical College, officially kicked off. President Liu Zhong, Vice President Feng Jiafu, Director Chen Xiaolu of the Academic Affairs Office, Director Yang Shuai of the Tourism and Art Department, Secretary Tan Hong of the General Courses Department, and other leaders, as well as some faculty members and campers from various countries, attended the opening ceremony in both online and offline formats.


President Liu Zhong addressed the opening ceremony, expressing his hope that the campers would fully participate in and enjoy the winter camp, delving deeply into the study of the Chinese language and gaining a thorough understanding of Chinese culture. He noted that the internationalization of education is an unstoppable trend, and improving educational quality has become the main proposition in the development of global higher education. On the fast track of international exchange and cooperation, Leshan Vocational and Technical College is actively engaging in external exchanges and cooperation with great enthusiasm, serving the national "Belt and Road" Initiative in education. The college aims to integrate Chinese and foreign cultures, innovate quality education, and shape international talents. With the goal of openness and sharing, the college is committed to taking its international education and cooperation to new heights.


The winter camp, scheduled from January 10 to January 21, 2022, is expected to attract over 70 participants from Laos, Vietnam, Tajikistan, Cambodia, and other countries. Through three main components - Chinese language courses, culinary arts courses, and thematic cultural lectures - the camp will allow international participants to experience Chinese culinary culture in the "cloud."


CHEUSHOUA MENGYANG, a camper representative from Laos, expressed on behalf of all campers their great anticipation for the 12 - day online learning experience. They hope to enhance their Chinese communication skills and gain a deeper appreciation for the unique charm of Chinese cuisine through the online platform.


Although the pandemic has temporarily prevented young people from various countries from coming to China to study, it has not dampened their enthusiasm for learning Chinese and experiencing Chinese culture. Moving forward, the college will continue to explore the value of online group - based exchange activities, develop more online courses, and strengthen the role of online cultural exchange experiences in promoting cultural interactions between Chinese and international youth. The online group - based exchange project will serve as a catalyst for the college's international education endeavors, truly becoming a bridge of understanding and friendship.
