From October 20th to November 9th, 2024, four teachers from the "National Innovation Team" of Leshan Vocational and Technical College—Cui Mingxian, Mei Yan, Zhou Hu, and Quan Huiying—participated in the Ministry of Education's "Master Craftsmen" Innovation Team Overseas Training Program (New Materials). After completing a 21-day training program in Germany, they returned to their country smoothly.
The training was organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange and implemented by the Baden-Württemberg Economic and Educational Center in Germany. The content covered the German dual-vocational education system and methods, advanced technologies in new materials, and Industry 4.0 and digitalization. Through classroom teaching, visits, and discussions, the teachers gained a deep understanding of the advanced concepts and practical experience of German vocational education. They also studied and exchanged ideas with 19 teachers from six vocational colleges, enhancing their international vision and cross-cultural communication skills.
In addition, the faculty team visited the BASF Group, the University of Applied Sciences Heilbronn, and the vocational school and training center at the Currenta Chemical Park. They gained insights into Germany's cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices in the fields of new materials, chemicals, and intelligent manufacturing from multiple perspectives, including the digital transformation practices of material industry enterprises, academic research, industry-academia collaborative innovation mechanisms, and the innovation of professional talent training models. These visits provided them with new ideas for improving the quality of practical training and teaching.
The visiting team expressed that this training has updated their educational concepts, enabled them to master advanced teaching methods and curriculum design skills, and facilitated the exchange of team-building experiences with teachers from sister institutions. The school will seize this opportunity to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with international enterprises and institutions, introduce advanced foreign educational resources, promote innovation and reform in teaching and education, and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents to provide human resource support for local economic and social development as well as industrial upgrading.
