On December 28, 2017, the Provincial Education Openness Work Promotion Meeting was held in Chengdu. Zhu Shihong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for Education and Director of the Provincial Department of Education, attended and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by Peng Yi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education. Fu Ming, the Chief Education Inspector of the Provincial Department of Education, also attended. Heads of relevant departments of the Provincial Department of Education and those in charge of foreign affairs from educational authorities and universities of various cities (prefectures) were in attendance.

Chen Zhihai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Leshan Vocational and Technical College, and Huang Xiaoli, Director of the Party and College Office (Director of the International Cooperation Office), represented the college at the meeting. The meeting pointed out that education openness carries the important mission of promoting national strategies. It emphasized the need to fully grasp the overall requirements of education openness in the new era, improve mechanisms and systems, focus on the "Belt and Road," leverage the foundational and pioneering role of education in openness, and enhance the quality of international talent cultivation. The goal is to improve strength and level and bravely undertake the historical mission of international exchange and cooperation.

At the meeting, Huang Xiaoli, Director of the International Cooperation Office, made an exchange speech on behalf of the Provincial Department of Education. She shared our college's experience in international cooperation, including international student training, building international teaching and research exchange platforms, establishing Sino - foreign cultural exchange mechanisms, and serving local openness. Her speech received high praise from leaders and other institutions.

In addition, Sichuan University, Southwest University of Science and Technology, Chengdu University, and Sichuan Changjiang Vocational College also made exchange speeches.
