At 10:00 a.m. on October 16th, 2015, the opening ceremony for the 2015 international students was grandly held in the 3D training room of the Tourism Department. Attending the ceremony were Chen Zhihai, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Secretary, Vice Presidents Chen Yuanjin and Tang Liu Hong, heads of relevant departments, leaders of departments with international students and the director of the International Students' Affairs Office, all members of the International Students' Affairs Office and the International Affairs Office, teachers of international students' courses, all international students, and representatives of Chinese students from various departments. The ceremony was chaired by Huang Xiaoli, Director of the Party Office, College Office, and International Affairs Office (Director of the International Students' Affairs Office).
At the ceremony, college leaders and representatives of international students' course teachers delivered enthusiastic speeches, welcoming the arrival of the 23 new international students from Laos, Thailand, and Nepal. They expressed high expectations for them, hoping that they would quickly adapt to the new environment, diligently study cultural knowledge, and enjoy a fulfilling and pleasant study life at the college. They also hoped that after completing their studies, these students would become pillars of their nations and contribute to the economic and cultural exchanges between their countries and China.
Representatives of returning international students and new students spoke respectively, expressing their sincere gratitude to the college leaders, teachers, and classmates for their care and help. They also expressed their determination to cherish this hard-earned opportunity to study abroad, to diligently learn Chinese language, Chinese cultural knowledge, and professional knowledge, and to become useful talents.
Finally, the international students performed programs with the characteristics of their respective countries and took group photos with college leaders and teachers.
