On October 25, 2023, a delegation led by Deputy Director Boulapha Ithiphone of the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education and Sports of Laos visited our school for exchange and discussion. They conducted an on-site inspection of the school's learning and living environment and held an exchange symposium with school leaders and international students. President Liu Zhong, Vice President Zhou Qin (a member of the Party Committee), relevant heads of the International College, and student representatives from Luang Prabang Province who are currently studying at our school attended the symposium, which was presided over by Vice President Zhou Qin.

At the symposium, President Liu Zhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education and Sports. He introduced the basic situation, history, distinctive majors, and international cooperation and exchange of the school to the guests, and expressed the hope that both sides will strengthen cooperation in curriculum development and joint education programs. Boulapha Ithiphone reviewed the history of cooperation and exchange between the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education and Sports and Leshan Vocational and Technical College, and expressed the desire to further expand and deepen cooperation in various fields. A student representative from Laos shared their learning and living experiences at our school and expressed sincere thanks to the school leaders and teachers for their care and support. Both sides further discussed matters related to teacher and student exchanges and Sino-foreign cooperative education programs.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and also the 10th anniversary of the continuous cooperation and exchange between our school and the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education and Sports of Laos. Over the past decade, Leshan Vocational and Technical College has admitted a total of 216 international students from Luang Prabang Province and has cultivated and delivered high-quality technical and skilled talents to Laos. The school will continue to adhere to the principles of active cooperation and exchange, strive to contribute to the development of Sino-Lao economic and cultural exchanges, build a platform for the establishment of friendly relations between Leshan City and Luang Prabang Province, and make contributions to the friendly cooperation between the two countries.
