From August 25 to 29, at the invitation of Nary Chroeng, Director of the Kampong Cham Provincial Vocational Training Center under the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, President Liu Zhong of the college led a delegation to visit Cambodia for international exchange and cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation first visited Angkor High School in Cambodia and held exchange talks with Ly Vanank, Principal of Angkor High School. Angkor High School is a public middle school in Siem Reap, covering nearly 100 acres with over 5,000 students. At the exchange meeting, both sides discussed faculty and student exchanges and the establishment of an international student recruitment base. Angkor High School plans to recommend outstanding high school graduates to study at our college.
The delegation was also invited to return to Angkor Star International School, where they held a working meeting with Principal Huang Fengcai and his team. They reviewed the cooperation achievements of the past year, discussed the development needs of Cambodia's tourism industry, and the necessity and feasibility of cooperative education under the Belt and Road policy. They clarified the next steps and priorities and drafted a timeline for ongoing cooperation projects, including joint construction of tourism - related majors and establishment of a vocational education college in Cambodia.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the Kampong Cham Provincial Training Center under the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. They held a symposium with Nary Chroeng, Director of the Training Center, Sara Daline, Director of the Office, and the head of the Academic Affairs Office. They discussed topics of mutual interest, such as faculty and student exchanges, international student education, enhancing the level of vocational training in Cambodia, and cooperation in vocational education. Nary Chroeng expressed his hope that this visit would mark the beginning of a long - term friendly cooperative relationship between the two schools, and that they could learn from China's advanced vocational training and education concepts to improve Cambodia's training and education standards. Liu Zhong said that the college welcomes Cambodian faculty and students to Leshan for exchange and study, and is willing to provide guidance and assistance to Cambodian partner schools in professional standards, curriculum standards, and vocational education faculty training. At the meeting, Liu Zhong and Nary Chroeng signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation on behalf of their respective schools. After the meeting, the delegation toured the classrooms, student dormitories, and professional training sites of the Kampong Cham Provincial Training Center.
In addition, Liu Zhong and his delegation also met with the Siem Reap provincial government. They held a symposium with leaders from the provincial and municipal governments of Siem Reap, as well as officials from the Provincial Office, the Department of Public Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sports, and the Provincial Department of Labor and Vocational Training. They introduced the college's cooperation with Cambodia, especially the vocational education cooperation in tourism - related majors with Siem Reap, and listened to opinions and suggestions on the college's cooperation with Siem Reap in vocational education.
