On October 25, Mr. Saythavone Chanmani, Deputy Director of the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education, along with three other members of his delegation, visited our college and attended a symposium in the conference room on the third floor of the college on the morning of October 27. The symposium was attended by President Liu Zhong of the college, Deputy Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary Chen Zhihai, Deputy Director Liang Kaiyu of the Leshan Municipal Education Bureau, Deputy Director Wang Yi of the Leshan Municipal Bureau of Investment Promotion and Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs, Researcher Chen Yingli from the Friendship City Division, as well as relevant heads from the International Cooperation Office, Academic Affairs Office, and Student Affairs Office. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Secretary Chen Zhihai.
At the meeting, President Liu Zhong extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Saythavone and his delegation, highly praised the Lao international students studying at our college, and expressed gratitude to the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education for their long-term support and trust in the college's international student programs. Deputy Director Saythavone thanked the college for its education and care of Lao students and expressed his willingness to further strengthen and expand cooperation and exchanges with our college and the city of Leshan in the future, elevating the friendship between the two sides to a new level. Deputy Director Liang Kaiyu of the Leshan Municipal Education Bureau hoped that Luang Prabang Province and Leshan City would enhance cooperation in basic education, culture, sports, and tourism in the future. Deputy Director Wang Yi of the Leshan Municipal Bureau of Investment Promotion and Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs commended the excellent performance of our college's Lao international students, who have served as volunteer translators at the tourism expo for three consecutive years, and hoped that the two cities would continue to strengthen friendly exchanges and enhance China-Lao friendship.
The delegation from the Luang Prabang Provincial Department of Education brought 18 new international students from Luang Prabang to the college this time, including six scholarship students and twelve fee-paying students.
