On the morning of September 13th at 10:00 a.m., a delegation of four people, including Mr. Hideo Maehara, President of the Junior College Division of Shukutoku University in Japan, visited our college. They were accompanied by five people, including Liu Jianrong, Chairman of Sichuan Zhongliu International, and Yin Xiangyin, General Manager. In the conference room on the third floor of the college, the meeting was attended by Liu Zhong, President of the college, Vice President Tang Liu Hong, heads and relevant staff from the International Office, Academic Affairs Office, Nursing Department, and Haitian Company. The symposium was chaired by Chen Zhihai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
During the meeting, President Liu Zhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Junior College Division of Shukutoku University and introduced the basic situation of Leshan, as well as the college’s history, academic programs, faculty, and other aspects to the guests. Mr. Hideo Maehara, representing the Japanese guests, also provided a detailed introduction to the educational philosophy, academic system, and program characteristics of the Junior College Division of Shukutoku University. Located in Tokyo, Japan, the Junior College Division of Shukutoku University has a history of over 70 years and offers programs related to welfare, nursing, medical care, and early childhood education.
During the symposium, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on various aspects of health and wellness talent cultivation between China and Japan. Both sides agreed to learn from each other’s strengths during the exchange and to cooperate in establishing standards for health and wellness talent cultivation, program construction, curriculum design, and faculty and student exchanges.
After the meeting, President Liu Zhong and President Hideo Maehara signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective universities.
