From November 7th to 9th and November 21st to 23rd, 2019, at the invitation of the Hongya County Education Bureau, the college organized 163 international students from Laos, Thailand, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Turkey, and other countries to participate in a three-day academic exploration activity in two groups. Under the guidance of teachers from the college's International Cooperation Office, Security Office, Student Affairs Department, and Basic Public Courses Department, the international students embarked on this journey.

During the activity, the international students visited the picturesque Mount Wawu, known as one of the most beautiful table mountains in Sichuan. Through hiking, cable car rides, and listening to introductions, they deepened their understanding and experience of this famous mountain. They explored the misty and enchanting Yannü Lake, immersing themselves in the dreamlike and magical Chinese natural landscape. They also delved into the ancient town of Liujiang, where they experienced the local history and culture in the Zeng Family Mansion and appreciated the beauty of the architecture that blends Chinese and Western styles. The students enjoyed authentic Sichuan rural delicacies such as Bobo Chicken and fragrant bowls, which provided a comprehensive sensory and culinary experience.

"Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles." By stepping out of the classroom and into cultural and tourist attractions, international students learn about excellent traditional culture. Through interactive experiences and broadening their horizons, they enrich their extracurricular cultural knowledge and leisure life. They immerse themselves in Chinese excellent traditional culture through practice and reflection, integrating the cultural knowledge they have learned from textbooks with real-life experiences. They gain knowledge through travel and continuously grow through their experiences.

As the country vigorously promotes the "Belt and Road" initiative, the education of international students at the college keeps pace with the college's "Double First-Class" construction. By focusing on the key link of practical teaching for students, the college enhances international students' understanding of Chinese culture, the history, and current situation of Sichuan. This effort improves the quality of international student cultivation and steadily advances the development of international student education towards a first-class standard.
