On December 26th, the "Only Emei Mountain" Theatrical Fantasy City at the foot of Emei Mountain welcomed the 2024 Leshan Winter Tourism Launch Ceremony and the 26th Emei Mountain Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival Opening Ceremony. Under the organization of the college's Youth League Committee and the International Cooperation Office, 60 international students from Leshan Vocational and Technical College had the privilege of attending the event in person and witnessing the launch of this grand tourism event.

The presence of the international students added an international touch to the event. They not only participated in the opening ceremony as audience members but also gained an in-depth understanding of Leshan's culture and tourism resources through personal experiences. Prior to the event, the students watched promotional videos on Leshan and Emei Mountain's cultural and tourism offerings, which filled them with anticipation for the activities to follow. At the opening ceremony, the international students listened to the overall plan for the 2024 "Winter Fun in Leshan" Consumer Season, released by Wang Yan, Deputy Mayor of Leshan. This provided them with a preliminary understanding of the preferential policies and unique activities for Leshan's winter tourism.

During the martial arts performance by the Emei Women's Martial Arts Troupe, the international students were deeply captivated by the charm of traditional Chinese martial arts. They showed great interest in the subtlety and power of Emei martial arts. After the performance, the Emei Women's Martial Arts Troupe was awarded the title of "Cultural and Tourism Ambassador for Emei Mountain Scenic Area," to which the international students extended their enthusiastic congratulations.

The international students expressed that through their participation in the opening ceremony, they gained a more intuitive understanding of China's traditional culture and tourism resources. Students from different countries shared their love for Chinese culture and their expectations for Leshan tourism during the exchanges. Their enthusiasm and vitality also added a special atmosphere to the event.

The person in charge of the International Cooperation Office at Leshan Vocational and Technical College stated that organizing international students to participate in such events aims to promote cultural exchange and enhance their understanding of Chinese culture. It also injects new vitality into the development of Leshan's tourism industry. The college will continue to support and encourage international students to participate in more similar cultural activities to promote cultural mutual learning and friendly exchanges.
