On May 28, 2024, local time in Zambia, the inauguration ceremony of the new campus of China-Zambia Vocational College and the 2024 Technology Empowering Mining Development Forum were grandly held in Luanshya, Zambia. Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema attended the inauguration of the new campus, and Hu Fu, a teacher from the School of New Energy and Materials at Leshan Vocational and Technical College, who was assigned overseas, was invited to participate in the event.

During the event, Hu Fu, together with Zambian students, explained to President Hichilema the application prospects of photovoltaic power generation technology in Zambia. The students showcased their practical training operations with CNC machine tools, laser engraving machines, and 3D printing technology, reporting to President Hichilema their learning achievements at China-Zambia Vocational College. Hu Fu also joined the students in presenting exquisite laser-engraved zodiac crafts and a 3D-printed model themed on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zambia to President Hichilema.

Teacher Hu and the students won the president's appreciation and recognition with their professional knowledge and vivid explanations, and also demonstrated the teaching achievements of Leshan Vocational and Technical College at China-Zambia Vocational College.
