In order to further strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, carry out international exchanges and cooperation at multiple levels, in broad fields, and in various forms, and enhance the college’s educational strength and the level of talent cultivation, from February 23rd to 27th, 2015, at the invitation of Japan Medical Service Co., Ltd., Dean Xue Jianping led a delegation of five people, including Huang Xiaoli, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, Shi Jianhua, Director of the Propaganda Department, Wang Mingqing, Manager of Haitian Company, and interpreter Li Fukan, to visit Japan. The delegation successively inspected Kameda Hospital, the Hitachi Medical Kashiwa Factory (a subsidiary of the world’s top 500 enterprise Hitachi Group), and the West Tokyo International Education College.

Friendly exchanges and negotiations were held with the Japanese schools and enterprises on faculty training, student internship and employment, technical application, and hardware and software construction. The delegation signed several documents, including the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Leshan Vocational and Technical College and Hitachi Medical Equipment (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Medical (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd." and the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Nurse Student Study and Employment Project between West Tokyo International Education College and Leshan Vocational and Technical College." Dean Xue Jianping also presented a certificate of appointment as a guest professor to Mr. Shinji Oshima, Executive Director of Hitachi Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. and Chairman and General Manager of Hitachi Medical Equipment (Beijing) Co., Ltd., on behalf of the college.

During the visit, the delegation investigated the Japanese labor market and established a platform for faculty and students of the college to study, train, and intern in Japan, as well as for student employment. This visit has positive significance for strengthening the college’s international exchanges and cooperation with Japanese schools and enterprises and promoting the college’s construction and development.
