On July 5th, a delegation of over 20 people from Thai universities specializing in energy technology, led by Consul General Paween and Education Consul Liu Lin from the Royal Thai Consulate General in Chengdu, visited our college to specifically examine the college’s new energy programs and discuss inter-university cooperation projects. An exchange symposium was held in Conference Room 1 of the Academic Exchange Center. Attending the symposium were Jie Lu, Secretary of the College Party Committee, Liu Zhong, President of the college, Chen Zhihai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chen Yingli, Deputy Researcher from the Leshan Investment Promotion and Foreign Affairs & Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau, as well as heads and relevant staff from the International Cooperation Office, Academic Affairs Office, New Energy Department, and Pharmacy Department of the college. The symposium was chaired by President Liu Zhong.
During the meeting, Secretary Jie Lu first introduced the overall situation of the college and its new energy programs to the guests, reviewed the cooperation history and exchange outcomes between the college and Thai universities. He expressed that the college hopes to continue expanding cooperation and exchanges with Thailand, and to explore cooperation in new energy, especially in the photovoltaic field, between Leshan Vocational and Technical College, Thai energy universities, and energy enterprises. Consul General Paween noted that the long-term educational exchanges and cooperation between Leshan Vocational and Technical College and Thailand have been very effective. The college’s new energy photovoltaic program is distinctive, and she hopes to use this opportunity to further promote cooperation between Thai energy technology universities and Leshan Vocational and Technical College. Deputy Researcher Chen Yingli from the Leshan Investment Promotion and Foreign Affairs & Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau expressed her pleasure in witnessing the fruitful exchange between both sides. She believes that the cooperation between Leshan Vocational and Technical College and Thai universities will surely continue to promote friendly exchanges between Leshan and Thailand and enhance the friendship between China and Thailand.
During the symposium, members of the Thai Energy Technology Universities delegation introduced their respective institutions one by one and expressed their desire to conduct educational cooperation in photovoltaic new energy, traditional Chinese medicine research and development, and other related fields with Leshan Vocational and Technical College. Wang Li, Director of the New Energy Engineering Department, and Feng Jiafu, Director of the Pharmacy Department, also introduced their respective programs. Finally, the Technical College of Prachin Buri, Chaiyaphum Technical College, Hat Yai Technical College, Songkla Vocational College, and Si Sa Ket Technical College signed a framework agreement for friendly cooperation with our college.
After the meeting, the delegation toured the college’s new energy training laboratory, photovoltaic power station, training workshop, and polysilicon simulation internship factory.
