On March 19, 2025, the Library of Leshan Vocational and Technical College hosted a reading sharing session competition titled "Ink of Books Brings Spring Green, Journey of Reading Leads to Youthful Paths" in the Academic Report Hall. The competition was judged by Li Juan and Sun Yuehong from the Library, and Huang Wei from the Academic Affairs Office. Nearly 500 faculty and student representatives participated in the event. This activity aimed to welcome the World Book Day on April 23rd, encouraging students to befriend books, enlighten their wisdom, and broaden their horizons through reading. It brought to the campus a cultural feast blending knowledge and ideas.

The event began with the host's poetic opening remarks, and the phrase "Ink of books brings spring green, journey of reading leads to youthful paths" instantly ignited the participants' enthusiasm for reading. During the competition, contestants showcased their unique styles. Mi Yiran shared "I Have Never Been So Attached to the World," conveying the warmth and strength of human life with delicate emotions and vivid storytelling. Yao Guowei interpreted "Selected Works of Mao Zedong," combining historical context with contemporary relevance to demonstrate the timeless appeal of the great leader's thoughts, provoking deep reflection among the audience. Chen Xuyang presented his original work "Special Forces Elite," sharing the stories behind its creation and showcasing his unique ideas and literary skills. Fu Shiyu shared "The Courage to Be Disliked," discussing insights on self-acceptance and interpersonal relationships from the book, winning rounds of applause with a unique perspective.

After fierce competition, one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes were awarded. The winners demonstrated their love for books through their outstanding performances and set reading examples for other students. This reading sharing session not only provided a platform for students to showcase themselves but also sparked their interest in reading. The school library will continue to conduct various reading promotion activities, actively creating a strong scholarly campus atmosphere. It encourages students to read more, read wisely, and read good books, making reading a lifelong good habit. Through reading, students can continuously improve their self-cultivation and cultural taste, and grow strong under the nourishment of books.
