On December 26th, the "Only Emei Mountain" Drama Fantasy City at the foot of Emei Mountain welcomed the 2024 Leshan Winter Tourism Launch and the 26th Emei Mountain Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival Opening Ceremony. Sixty international students from Leshan Vocational and Technical College, organized by the College Youth League Committee and the International Cooperation Office, had the privilege of attending the event and witnessing the start of this major tourism initiative.
The presence of the international students added an international flavor to the event. They not only participated as audience members in the opening ceremony but also gained an in-depth understanding of Leshan's culture and tourism resources through personal experience. Before the event began, the students watched promotional videos on Leshan and Emei Mountain's cultural and tourism offerings, building up their anticipation for the activities to follow. At the opening ceremony, the students listened to the overall plan for the 2024 "Winter Fun in Leshan" consumer season, released by Wang Yan, Deputy Mayor of Leshan City, gaining a preliminary understanding of the city's winter tourism preferential policies and special activities.

During the martial arts performance by the Emei Sect Women's Kung Fu Troupe, the international students were deeply captivated by the charm of traditional Chinese martial arts, showing great interest in the sophistication and power of Emei martial arts. After the performance, the Emei Sect Women's Kung Fu Troupe was honored with the title of "Emei Mountain Scenic Area Cultural Tourism Ambassador," to which the international students extended their enthusiastic congratulations.
The international students expressed that through their participation in the opening ceremony, they gained a more intuitive understanding of traditional Chinese culture and tourism resources. Students from different countries shared their love for Chinese culture and their expectations for Leshan tourism, adding a special atmosphere to the event with their enthusiasm and vitality.

The head of the International Cooperation Office at Leshan Vocational and Technical College stated that organizing international students to participate in such events aims to promote cultural exchange and enhance their understanding of Chinese culture, while also injecting new vitality into Leshan's tourism development. The college will continue to support and encourage international students to participate in more similar cultural activities to foster mutual cultural understanding and friendly exchanges.
